Introduction

Hi ! My name is Ena and this is my AS level media studies blog.

I took media because it saturates everything about this century, helps me understand the working of our intermediate world and our place in it and will require me to learn and use critical thinking skills and it will come in handy with my aspiration of becoming an attorney in the future. I am currently in Year 12 and my other subjects are English, Business and Psychology. My hobbies include reading, watching TV shows, meditating and reading activism-related articles. My career path, as i mentioned earlier is in Criminal Law and is also my biggest personal passion as well. And as for the various types of media,  like every person of my age, i am ,to an extent, a social media addict. Regarding other forms such as movies, TV shows and music, i am extremely genre-fluid and i can enjoy anything although of course, I've got my preferences.

In order for you to get to know me in the media field, here are some pf my favorite media products: 

FILMS:

Although I'm usually more of a TV show person rather than films, I tend to like movies with multiple parts and sequels such as the Harry Potter series and the Twilight series. Despite that though, I watch almost every movie i can get my sight on when i have the time to, on Netflix and in cinemas. Why? To begin with, horror movies are a perfect candidate for adrenaline and can even help me face a fear (clowns ; a true story) whereas comedy films could be treated like medicine and romance movies fuel our fantasies and imagination. But i think a genre that i would prefer above all that would be sci-fi because it sparks the thought of possibility.

TV SHOWS:

Fun fact: I'm a TV show junkie!

Some that i watch and love are including but not limited to breaking bad, the vampire diaries, the originals, euphoria, modern family, gossip girl, suits, how to get away with murder, friends, dynasty, orange is the new black, brooklyn 99 , family guy, and so much more. 

 Not only because it may be my favorite pastime but i love TV shows because they broaden my knowledge on different cultures, and is usually a therapeutic tool for thousands. 

BANDS AND ARTISTS:

In terms of music taste, i listen to alternative and underground indie more than any other genre, so my favorite bands are the neighborhood, arctic monkeys, chase atlantic, and wallows.
